SGES Get-Away-Gig
We hope your year has started with a bang! There’s a lot of energy here at SGES. Our children are learning more that just their reading, writing, and arithmetic, but also how to live and be all they were created to be.
We hope to answer any questions about our much-anticipated Get-Away-Gig. The date has been set and is
We hope to answer any questions about our much-anticipated Get-Away-Gig. The date has been set and is
Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 6:30pm.
The Gig consists of a silent auction, live auction, and dinner. We receive donations for the auction from businesses, parents, grandparents, friends, SGES faculty, staff and students. Items vary from baskets of books to vacation homes and getaways to priceless works of art from our students. Money is also raised through benefactors, sponsorships, and advertising in the Gig catalog.
Parent volunteers make this Gig a huge success each year. You should have received a donation item request form. Don’t Worry!! Do you or a grandparent work at or run a service or retail business? Bidders love services. Do you or a close friend own a vacation home to offer for a special vacation? Have a special talent? This is a great opportunity to showcase those special gifts. You are welcome to get a catalog from this past gig for any ideas, or contact one of us—we have a wish list of donation items.
Also, the Gig takes time and talent to put together. We need YOU for: acquiring donation items, decoration and set-up, helping at the gig, and cleaning up after the gig. If you want to know more, please attend one of our meetings. We usually hold them after chapel and occasionally we will plan them at night. The dates will be announced in the Friday Dragon Tail newsletter. You will get to meet a great group of parents that work really hard for our children here at SGES.
We are looking forward to meeting you!
